Unfortunately I was hoping for a 350+cc based on the XADV with DCT.

I love Hondas. I hate Honda dealers. Around these parts, that $4300 bike becomes a $6500 bike "out the door". Fees, fees, and more fees.

My local Genuine dealer only charges tax + actual DMV fees, and often sells under MSRP. A $2700 Buddy 125 is under $3100 OTD.

Did you notice that all the photos they show in the gallery say, "Non-US Model shown?" They're sending us what they sell elsewhere as an afterthought.

Honda has a couple of problems with selling the ADV 150 in the states.
- First of all, the ADV 150 competes directly with their own recently revived Super Cub.
- As mentioned above, the base price is a big problem. I do not see it competing very well with the Hooligan 170.

I'd ride one. After looking at the specs this could be an excellent scooter for the kind of riding I do. The ~5 inches of suspension travel would be awesome for dealing with the terrible roads I ride. I would need to test ride one to see how it corners and how the seating position feels.

I don't think the $4,300 price tag is that bad.

I like the idea of a street oriented adventure scooter. Hopefully someone will make some panniers for it, having hard cases on the sides of a scooter would be cool.

What's the Honda V-Matic?

Probably Honda-speak for variator.

From my point of view, I think Honda missed the boat with this one. Displacement is too small and drum rear brake.
I much like their larger displacement versions of this in both styling and power.
Seems the majority of scooters I like from whatever manufacturers are not available here in the US.

Honda has got 125/150s on the brain, it seems...

Click here for a link to a little article from MCN. I dunno if we get this in the states, but it looks pretty utilitarian.

I saw that Hunter Cub a while back and while I think it looks great, again it's just too under powered for comfortable riding around these parts.
