Buddy 50 Carb... No Needle Clip?

I have a hesitation at 1/4 to 1/2 throttle. I went to change the needle position and it turns out there is no needle clip. Is this the way it is with the stock Buddy carb? How about the aftermarket Keihin carb? Does that have a needle clip?

Yeah, no clip on the stock needle. I adjust mine by using thin flat washers on the needle as shims. Most of your standard metric flat washers are around 0.5mm thick.

What is the diameter of the needle? I’d like to pickup a few myself.
