front rack ?

Post by BennyBen »

Hi
anyone use the front folding rack? Is it useful? I need more luggage space to go to work. Sometimes the space under the seat is full, my backpack is heavy too. Like said earlier in another post I just can't wait to get my top case.
I was thinking about the front rack, a backpack and bungee cords.

What's your take?

thanks

I'll tell you this much, the front rack is way more robust than Prima's rear rack. It has three solid mounting points to the front of the scooter. The footprint is fairly small, and best of all no vulnerable bends or welds to snap. I didn't like adding a bunch of weight up front, because it made the steering a bit squirrely.

In addition to the limited weight you can put on the steering column, I don't care for the look of the front rack and don't like drilling holes in the front plastics.

You could bungee a duffel bag onto the seat behind you while you wait for the top case.

Yup, I'll use the little seat bag that I've found at 50$ on Amazon.

The front rack is going to be more a matter of personal preference.

I think they've got a nice character to them, but I've never had one.

So it's more about the look than the utility. I'll save my $$ for other things.
