I switched to a Lithium powersport battery on all my bikes. The price I paid was initially higher than a traditional battery, but it continues to last. In the end the choice favors longevity and high current capability. They are also lower weight. The oldest one I still have is over 12 years old.

Did you notice better starting in the winter with the lithium battery?

I have been using the YTZ10S battery (or equivalent, PTZ10S, etc) in our '07 125 Buddy for the last several years it has higher Amp-hrs and cold-cranking amps than the OEM battery and fits in the same space.

I have a WPS brand, CTZ10S, was in my Blackjack when I got it so 4+ years old, AGM so never have to add water, can sit for months and crank the motor instantaneously to life, holds a charge forever (I store it over the winter and it barely discharges 1 or 2% per month), google says they’re about $65, far superior to the old wet cell lead acid and seem to be about the same price-

You should watch Ryan F9’s treatment of this topic. My takeaway: I’m not going to be a lithium customer. Don’t need the weight reduction, and don’t want to deal with the cold weather constraints. No benefit for the cost. AGM FTW for me.

I concur on both points. My next battery 100% is going to be an AGM.

Also, I wanted to ask the OP is there's any possible way to keep their battery on a Battery Tender. Hands down that is the secret to lead-acid battery happiness.

One other advantage of Lithium batteries is the higher cranking voltage. I can hear a huge difference in the way my modified Blur starts up using an AGM battery vs a Lithium battery. With the Lithium, the starter motor sounds like someone kicked it in the rear and it spins the crank like it was on steroids.

That being said, my 2008 Buddy uses an AGM battery that I bought off of Amazon and it works perfectly fine. I bought a mid-priced battery and not one of the really cheap ones. Really cheap batteries aren't worth the effort or risk, IMO.
