So just got my wife a Buddy 150 she wanted at a garage sale. I've replaced the battery, oil, gear oil. and air filter. Now the problems...
1. The fuel petcock was removed and we were told replacement was in the scooter seat. Tried to install the replacement but the nut is too big to screw onto the gas tank. Where can I get the actual petcock needed for this model??
2. New battery has power. Blinkers, hazard, horn all work. But when I press the ignition, nothing happens at all. No sound of any kind. Completely dead. (Yes, I've tried the kill switch in both positions) I'd appreciate any ideas on why the starter won't turn over.
Thanks for your help!
Jack

Are you also grabbing a brake lever? Starter won't engage unless one (or both) brake levers are pulled.

I had done that, but went out and did it again. It worked! Guess I might have a loose connection or wasn't pulling enough on the brake lever.
Doh! Thanks!
Any idea about the petcock?
