Washers for carb needle

Post by Alzero »

Does anyone have a source for the washers used to space up the carb needle or even the dimensions so I can find some locally?

I just used regular metric washers. 2mm or 2.5mm, I don't remember exactly. They were 1mm thick so I'd stack them to get whatever I needed. Quite honestly, I removed them completely after a little while because I found it unnecessary to richen my midrange. This was on an engine modified to 183cc. YMMV.

We get them from Ace Hardware or Taylors Do It Centers. The smaller independent hardware stores carry a better selection, and the nuts, bolts and washers are sold individually-not in bulk bags like LOWES or Home Depot.
