Rear Shock Adjustment

Hi all, saw a video saying the rear shock should drop about 30mm (or 25%) when a scooter is sat upon. Is there anyway to adjust a 2014 Buddy 50... I tried loosening the bolts but they just warped at the head and I don't wanna force anything. Thanks!!!

What are you trying to accomplish? Stock shock is not adjustable. There is a slew of aftermarket options. Stock is 280mm.

A Buddy only has 2.4" of rear travel so 25% sag would be about 0.6" , or about 15mm. 30mm would be about 50% sag.

The rear shock is very easy to replace (two bolts, one each top and bottom), but have no adjustments. I’ve tried two nice-looking inexpensive replacements, one of which did have an adjustment, and they were unpleasant - far too soft, and possibly designed to be paired shocks on ATVs. I went back to stock.
