Battery charging...

Post by MikeR »

Does a Buddy 50 2 stroke charge it's battery (like a car does) when the engine is running?

Many thanks!

Yes, scooters do recharge their battery when the engine is running. One thing to know. Both the electrical system and the engine on a scooter have limited capacity. By that I mean that most scooters are not generating enough power for a battery recharge when the engine is running at idle. Riding around at higher RPMs generates more power and is usually necessary for bringing the battery up to full charge.
