Hi 👋, I was replacing my ignition coil when I stripped the head of the Philips screw that holds it. I tried to use a larger screw driver, a drill, and a rubber band with a screw driver but nothing will catch because it keeps slipping. What should I do?

Take it to ACE and buy a replacement.

You could cut a slot in the head with a dremel tool and use a big straight screwdriver, but the sparks might solve your problem the hard way. I'd go to Harbor Freight and get this extractor set w/ left hand drill bits: https://www.harborfreight.com/screw-ext ... 63987.html Try and get a couple of drops of penetrating oil on the threads before you go to bed tonight.

I ended up using a impact screwdriver. I had a replacement screw that was a little longer than the original but it still went in all the way. I did buy the extractor kit as a last resort but it was not needed this time. Thanks for the help.
