Buddy Kick - 4 valves to check

Post by 350kmi »

My Buddy Kick was due for its second valve clearance check, so I figured I would take a couple pictures in case anyone is interested in seeing the layout. There are twice as many valves in roughly the same amount of space as the standard 4-stroke Buddy's, but it is the same process and while space is a little tighter it is still is a pretty easy job. At the first (600 miles) check all valves were right on spec. This time (3100 miles) the intake side were still on spec, but the exhaust were a little tight. I also noticed that the Kick uses bearing cam followers.

I had no idea those were 4 valve scooters. You learn something every day. Thanks for posting this.

That doesn't look as challenging as I thought it would be.
