the replacement is here! NBC

Post by vitaminC »

With a recent change in location and an impending change in jobs, my commute moved out of scooter territory, and I sold the Buddy a few weeks ago. Some folks wanted to know what new bike I wound end up, and here is the answer!

Based on previous bikes I've owned, I had a list of things I was looking for:

1. Relatively light weight
2. Non-chain final drive
3. ABS
4. Available used

I didn't really have any specific bike in mind when I started to comb the sale ads, though I knew that in reality there aren't many bikes that meet all those criteria.

What I would up with is this:

No ABS, but everything else is covered.

When I picked it up yesterday, it had a whopping 730 miles- not much considering it was purchased new in 2005! It has a few more now :P

This thing has great lines!

Sounds great!

Hard luggage, too!

Can't wait to add many more miles...

It's a Piaggio! :)

Very nice. There are few motorcycles that I have much appreciation for... this is one of them!

Very nice bike indeed. I've always liked Italian bikes and the Gooses are my second favorite line of Italian motorcycles. If anything, Guzzis are a cut above Ducatis (and most other Euro marques) in terms of the quality of the pieces that make up the whole.

Enjoy and ride safely.
