Pants riding up!

Post by Dean F »

I have 300 miles on my Buddy 150. Everytime I ride, my pants ride up into my crotch! Does anybody know why? Would a seat cover help?

hm, where to begin…? :)

Are you sliding forward a lot when braking? Do you find yourself making a lot of hard stops?

A seat cover, depending on fabric, may help if you slide a lot.

You didn't Armor All your seat, did you?

You need some gay gymnastic pants, with the foot straps!

(Not that there's anything wrong with that!) ;)

Seriously, though, I wear shorts, and they start to ride up a bit, too, at times. I think it's from the drag brake (downshifting of the tranny) when you let off on the throttle when you're moving fast.

I try to shift my weight to my feet and hands when slowing down...if you're braced well, you won't slide forward, and your undies won't strangle you (hopefully).

It happens to me too. I just stand up every once and awhile at a light and shake my tush. The pants fall back into place and my voice lowers an octave.

Just yell at them "Stop staring at my junk!" :)

I've noticed this happens to me with my baggier jeans. I haven't had any problem in more traditionally-fitting jeans.

How can anyone read this thread and say that ModernBuddy isn't the most helpful scooter site in the world wide web?!?!?! In fact, maybe the most helpful site of ANY kind!!

My pants don't ride up. I have no suggestions. The above ones sound good though!

You're right, this site is most friendly and helpful. As a matter of fact

I can hardly not laugh. But I say this very seriously: The problem maybe more "foundational". It could be what's under the pants.

Cover your eyes girls or go to a different thread.

Because of the property of certain garment materials, it can cause your pants to ride up which cuts-off...let me rephrase that...it squeezes very sensitive areas. :wha:

If you wear your silkies, expect your pants to ride up.

You're onto something here. I notice more pant-riding-up tendencies when I wear boxers. When I made the switch to boxer briefs, less riding up.

Boxer-briefs - now that's what I'm talking about. da-boyz get a bit more support than boxers, and it's not silky material.

Except that I have no junk.... pant ride up is not a gender specific issue ;) Of course I could still yell it.

Haha! I was just WAITING for someone in this thread with an ambigious name to turn out to be female! I was kinda hoping for the OP, but this is just as funny!!

I totally do that! Never thought it was an issue. I think it's just that my hip width isn't wide enough.

Ladies, is it a hip-width issue?

Brape? Comments?

I wear bike shorts underneath my skirts (stop judging me) and skinny jeans and pants. I hate baggy clothing, but also the extra layer adds friction and keeps my clothing from sliding around. My skirt still bunches up sometimes, but that's what the bike shorts are for.

I always blame it on the low rise jeans... and forgetting to wear a belt.

LOL ok can't help it - I want to see some of the riders in my town doing the tush shake thang....

My jeans don't ride up, but skirts and dresses, of course, do....I have to sit very primly with my knees together with a good handful of the skirt tucked between.... bike shorts are a great idea!

Coincidentally, I just saw a commercial for Hanes undies that don't ride up. They have men's and women's options that carry the "No RideUp" badge.

The OP is just a few miles away from where I live. I havent noticed any guys on Buddys around here with excessive crotch exposure... but he may have inspired the TShirt below.
