Shouldn't this be in the "who's crashed thread"? :D . Kidding of course. Good to see you made it out with a smile. Impressive photos.

Glad to see you are alright and nothing is too bad. I think it's actually good to show these type of photos, it shows others why we wear the gear when riding. It really does save your butt. Imagine what your wound would look like without any armor padding or abrasion resistant cloth to take most of the impact.

Any damage done to the bike since it fell?

And here I thought it was cool that someone got pics of me spinning out in my car last weekend. Dude, you win crash of the week! And yeah about the gear, I'm a little surprised at the road rash there even with race leathers. I want teflon coated kevlar so I'd just slide easy and no scraping and the bonus of being bullet proof! :D

Good to see you're smiling though it. What happened? Couldn't tell from the photos but it looked like you were sliding in front of your bike. High side?

This is a great example of why tracks demand full gear. It's not a choice.

the bike did better than me.

Buells crash really well. DAMHIK.

me and the medics were able to put me back together and me and my pit crew (Mrs. Jenkins) worked on the bike to get it to pass tech inpection for the rest of the sessions, most importantly the sessions under the lights!

note the black duck tape holding my visor on

speed???????

not sure. I cover up my speedo. And my perception is not that good. going fast on the street does not even compare to going fast on the track.

Thats turn 3 @ Nashville super speedway. It s is a tight switchback turn. That is the slowest turn in the course, My guess is 60. I do know my top speed that night was around 140mph (and im on one of the slowest bikes  ) every time I passed the start/finish line on the front str8. Good thing I stayed on during that part.

This is a shot from the first session from the exact spot I lost control.

I love the fact that even with a big chunk of shoulder skin on the track, you duct-taped yourself back together and got back on your bike for some more fun :)

ME TOO! I called my daughter to show her "looking through the corner." We also both thought, "If we remove the center stand, get going really fast, push right..."

Yeah right!

Oh man. Glad you're ok. Guess you're going for the sympathy vote in the avatar contest now right? :P

Your shoulder pic is great. I've been trying to explain to my wife that you CAN get road rash even if your gear stays intact. Is that what's going on in the shoulder pic? Your gear looked solid to me.

Oh my gosh!!

The whole time I thought your avatar was REALLY you! HAHAHA! Wow how scary! I can't even imagine 140mph on a bike, talk about actually hitting those speeds.

I think that that is cool that he has some funny looking guy as his avatar. Maybe that's the inner him. I had such a hard time getting my avatar the right size to fit on here i haven't gone back to change it. I def need to change it to something more creative though.
