Sat Aug 7 - Meet us for Breakfast at RJ's Bob Be Que Shack, corner of Lamar and Johnson Dr in Mission around 9am. Great country style breakfast (some BBQ choices too!) plus great Bloody Mary's!
When we're done fueling up, we'll ride to Moon Marble in Bonner Springs for a glass blowing demonstration and shop for marbles and old-timey games and toys.
Then we'll take a short country ride through DeSoto and drop you off at the main entrance to Shawnee Mission Lake, on Renner, so you fast riders can catch the highway if you so choose!
(Possible bonus stop for beer and lunch at the end, if anyone's up for it, at Barley's Brewhaus on Midland.)

RJ's was one of the restaurants featured on the Food Channel... Guy's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives
They have an excellent breakfast, which includes country friend steak, ham, thick sliced bacon, pancakes, biscuits & gravy and a few omelets. They even have healthier choices with fruit, bagels and yogurt.

Had a good time during the Moon Marble ride.
Nine of us showed up, at RJ's for a good breakfast, took a nice long trip to Moon Marble. Where we park along the railroad tracks. Saw a demonstration of how marbles are made. The Marble maker created a replica of a 1950's era "Superman" marble. After the marbling effect, we hit DQ for some cool, ice creamy goodness. Head back on a circuitous route, about a 74 mile round trip for this scooterist.
