LA Area 2/13: Valentines Twisty-Turny Canyon Riding Goodness

Love your scooter? Well think of this as a Valentines gift for your 2-wheel Sweetheart!
We are overdue for a nice full day of twisty-turny canyon riding goodness. This will be a ride for the ride of it. We don't need no stinkin' destination! Just twisty-turny, hard-leanin', scooting fun!

We do this route once or twice a year so some of you may recognize it.

<b>THE RIDE:</b>
This is one of the most beautiful local rides there is. The plan is to take Mulholland Hwy west, to Decker Cyn, over to Potrero Rd, up to the Hotel California (aka Camarillo State Mental Hospistal, now known as Cal State Channel Islands) then over to the PCH for a fast, twisty highway ride (55mph+) down to Neptune's Net where we shall eat drink and be merry. We may also stop at the Rock Store for a break on the way outbound.

For the return trip we will either

a) cruise down the PCH to Decker Cyn and head back inland to Mulholland Hwy and our original meetup spot.
b) cruise down the PCH to Topanga Cyn and head back inland to our original meetup spot. Or
c) cruise down the PCH to Sunset Blvd and head back inland.

As always, people are free to make their own way home via their own route whenever the mood strikes them.

<b>THE DETAILS:</b>
This is a twisty route for experienced riders and a full day of demanding canyon riding. Posted speed limits on the PCH are as high as 55mph (ie cars will be going 70mph+), so please make sure both you and your scooter are comfortable (aka safe) riding in these conditions. 125cc+ scooters only please.

NOTE: <u>Parts of this route takes us a long way from the nearest gas station so please make sure you have a full tank of gas and properly inflated tires before this ride. There is a gas station across the street from the meetup spot. </u>
