LA Scooter Group page for the event: http://www.meetup.com/LAScooterGroup/events/17573460/The morning of the ride everyone will break up into groups of 3 or 4 (depending on how many riders we get). At least one person in the group must have a cell phone capable of taking and sending photos to an e-mail address that will be given out the morning of the event.
All groups will be given an envelope containing a list of clues leading them to different places and things around LA. Groups will have to find these places and things and take and send photos in. Pictures must contain all but one of the group's members or member's scooters (member not in photo to take photo). This is to prevent groups into breaking up to get more photos. None of these places require freeway riding to get to, in fact we will try to mix up groups so riders of smaller scooters are riding with the larger ones. NoHo Mike will be the only one who will know the clues and answers prior to the ride and will not be participating. Groups will have until 3 PM to send photos in. Any photos recieved after 3PM will not be awarded points. Subject line of email is to include the group number and clue number to make judging easier.
Points will be awarded for each correct photo. I'm going to try to come up with enough clues to make it hard, if not impossible to get them all. Tie breaker will go to the group with the most creative photos.
After 3PM, all the groups will return to NoHo Scooters for a pizza party and awards event. There will be prizes for the top three teams. We will hook up a computer to the big TV and show the photos taken during the scavenger hunt. The photos will also be posted on the LA Scooter Meetup Group's website and Facebook page.
You must obey all speed limits, local laws, and ride in a safe manner.
