Join the VCLG as we once again celebrate our passion for riding Vespas. All makes of scooters are welcome!!!

Friday May 4:
Meet and greet at Hyde Park Lounge. Starts at 7 p.m.

Saturday May 5:

9 a.m.: Meet up at Rose Donuts
1818 Saratoga Avenue, Saratoga CA 95070

10 a.m.: The Giro is back! By popular demand, we're having our timed ride through the Santa Cruz Mountains again. There are two classes: Classic (25 years or older) and other (25 years or newer). All scooters of any vintage or brand welcome. Since this is a timed rally, not a speed contest, fast scooters have no advantage, and slower scooters have no penalty.

Motorcycles welcome on the Giro as well; however, no prizes awarded to motorcyclists.

This year, we've got an extra twist: We're ending the Giro with a ride through our Gymkhana at the Campbell Legion Hall (see below). This is a motorcycle-type gymkhana with traffic cones on a marked course. Any points incurred at the gymkhana will be added to the total for the Giro riders.

This follows Giro of California rules - checkpoints and time. Arrive on time and get 0 points. Arrive earlier or later and get more then 0 points. The rider with the least number of points wins. There is a good possibility of hidden checkpoints as well.

10 a.m.: We'll also have a non-Giro ride for those who just want a nice, relaxing ride via some of the most scenic and challenging roads in the world.

After the Giro riders complete the gymkhana, we'll be opening it up to all riders who want to try their skill.

9 a.m.: Meet at the Los Gatos Diner

10 a.m.: Ride leaves the diner

When we get there (after the ride): Finish up the weekend at the Alpine Inn in Portola Valley
