i dont have a route locked in yet, I was thinking about a magnolia bluff ride or, a gas works park and a waterfront ride, maybe an alki cruise, but it will probably be packed down there, so I dont really know, any suggestions are more than welcome, I only moved here 3 months ago, and I havent been too much outside of downtown seattle.

Magnolia (Mongolia) defintely sounds cool. There are some great views over there and it's not too crowded. I do know there there is/was contrustuction on Elliot Ave and 15th (which leads to the Magnolia bridge) so the road is rough with lots of bumps and raised manholes. But there are other ways to get there, via upper Queen Anne.

Another idea is Shilshore Bay (Ballard) and around Golden Gardens.

4:30 am sunrise???? Learn something new everyday. Tell me you noticed this as you were going to bed and not waking up. ;)

Mikie, you just go where you want to go and I'll follow. Heck, you can just circle the block about 50 times, I don't care ;) I just gotta leave at around 4. I'll try to make it down there a little after 1.

For anybody that will be following along on the ride, just come up and introduce yourself to me at the event. I will probobly be hanging out mostly by the Meetup.com table. I ride an America edition Red Buddy 125 with whitewalls, wear a grey and black corrazo 5.0 jacket, and a black full face helmet. I have really short hair, and usually ride in jeans and sneakers. See you all there!

I'm planning on going to the event tomorrow, but probably will only do the ride if it's the Alki route, just because I have a lot of other stuff to get done this weekend, and can't afford to spend the whole day on the scooter :-( Anyway, I ride a Pamplona and wear a white/black Corazzo 5.0. See some of you guys there!

Oh, and Kilted_Texan... I've heard great things about Pensione Nichols... it's about a block south of my office building, same side of the street, so I walk by all the time!

This ride was great!!! It turned out to be about 30 scooters or so... It was the first time I had led a group ride, and 30 people is really tough to keep track of. I took a few pictures and ill post them as soon as I get them loaded up on photobucket...

Here are a couple pictures from the ride that I led after the event...
This event had about 100-125 scooters, I led about 30 of them for a 3 hour adventure around seattle!

The event made the PI and a Buddy rider was quoted.

GREAT event by the looks of things. Buddys well-represented!

"The parking lot at Westlake and Mercer Street was crowded with a variety of scooters, including Vespas, Lambrettas and Ducatis,"

Everyone out here thinks that Buddies are made by Ducati...

I just let them think what they want :)

Yay thanks for posting pictures, Mikie! That's my Pamplona :-) The ride was tons of fun - wish I could have gone along for the second leg. I'm definitely up for more rides in the future!

Nothing is ever the Mac's fault. :)

Naw, that's out wonky forum software. I have no idea how or why it thinks Guests can post, because you should need to sign in. Weird.

Who has the cream Buddy with the custom seat? Is that one of us?

I know it's not the Mac's fault, I just didn't want to insult the forum :P Don't know who the cream w/custom seat Buddy belonged to, but it definitely caught my attention! Very cool. The seat was a completely different shape than stock; really flat, wide, and rounded. I assume they got it done at Rich's Custom Seats up here, but if it was homemade they've got skilllzzz.

no i dont think the lady with the custom seat is on here. She was really nice, apparently the seat was made by a local guy, and he actually forms the seat material to your a$$. totally comfy
