Hey,

Anybody find a rebuild kit for a Stella 2T Master Cylinder? I have looked at the major spots and did not see one. I really just need the rubber seal that the lever pushes in.

Thanks for any help/advice.

Cheapest option I could find for replacement:

Catalog:
http://www.sip-scootershop.com/files/ca ... .html#/527

Part:

Next time I get over to the garage, I'll take a look at one and see if any of the guts look familiar.

Thanks,

I am hoping I don't have to replace the entire MC because of a $2.00 seal. After a couple of messages on Facebook, someone from Genuine is supposed to email me. I find it hard to believe they do not have a phone number or an email address on the website for help....

It is. The Stella is made by LML and is known as the Star or Belladonna to the rest of the world. The part will fit.

Here's the internals and a seal kit. The two kits are almost the cost on a new unit and the odds are that your fluid level sight glass is hazed and cracking anyway:

Inner Piston:

Seal Kit:

I'd dismantle and check the bore on your original part as well before springing for repair parts. If it's rusty, you might be able to have it honed, but it's a gamble. Brakes are not worth gambling on.

EDIT: Found this link, it's in Cali so the shipping may be cheaper than from Germany:

NOTE: It lists Grimeca, but it will fit. If you shop around, make sure you get a kit for the later, handlebar-mounted kit instead on the early semi-hydraulic kit that mounted on the fork.

ended up just ordering a whole new master cylinder. sips wanted an 25 buck min, on a 20 buck part, than wanted 20 to ship an 1 oz part.

They way they presented it, the 20 buck seal kit, I had to buy the piston and spring too.....just to get over the 25 buck limit. $58 bucks total, and I;m not even sure it will work .

So I just ordered the whole damn thing from ScooterLounge for 173. At least I'll know that will work.

Already ordered a seal kit that somebody said would work......and it did not. 3 weeks and 20 bucks down the drain.

on that site LML is not in the system. so what other model should I use? I need a throttle tube too.
