Whitewall tire recomendations

Howdy all,

So my rear tire on my Stella + sidecar setup is about worn out, I have 1300 miles on it. I'm looking to replace all of the tires with whitewalls. Now I don't go above 50 mph (40-45 most days) and I don't go on long distance rides. I'm looking for a decent but cheap whitewall. The hack already changes the handling of the scooter, so I'm not worried about putting on performance tires at all.

I saw these on eBay for cheap:

Thoughts? Do I need to buy new tubes as well with so little mileage?

^^I use those same exact tires. The front tire is still going strong at 3400 miles and have swapped it to the back. However the rear got slightly malformed and had to be replaced, due to a slight rub on the oil filter cap after about 2000 miles, not sure why it does that. The rear tire tread also wears down really quickly. I do a lot of WOT driving and have had no other problems. They are good for the price IMO.

Planning on getting these for my 4T:

Not liking how squirrely the Dunlops feel as 50+ mph.

Thanks for the input!

What do I do with the tubes? Buy new or reuse since I have such low mileage?

get new tubes, not worth the risk.

Kenda Tuff Tubes! I've put 30,000 miles on them between three scooters, zero issues. Tiny weight penalty due to thicker rubber, but worth the peace of mind.

I installed Primas. They are just a smidge wider, so I needed to put washers on the studes before mounting. There is no noticable difference due to the washers, and I denfinately have more rubber on the road.

@az_slynch, how have you been liking your Continental white walls? I'm looking to replace my stock Slovenian WWs so that I don't die in the rain

The Continentals are one of the few quality tires still available as a whitewall. They are head and shoulders a better tire than the Prima or Sava. Use them if you can get them.
