Yet another stupid question

I bought a spare headlamp bulb for my Stella. After I looked at it I realized that I have no idea what needs to be done to get at the bulb to replace it. Taking the top off the head seems extreme but is that the only way?

Thanks for any help.

I was afraid of that. Thanks for sparing me some dead-end detours.

This is a fairly easy job, its just 4 Philips screws under the head set and remove the speedometer cable from the front wheel hub. The speedometer cable is held in by a 13mm bolt and a toe clamp. Taking the cable loose gives you room under the speedometer gauge to disconnect the cable and gain access to the inside of the head set to replace the light. Ask me how I know this from the post shortly down the page titled Speedometer Cable.

It's a good idea to do anyway to keep undue stress off the speedo cable.
