Michelin S83 tyres

Quick question are the above any good in the winter months for our Welsh wet weather.

To me the S83s are at best OK in the wet. I like to run them on vintage for the classic tread pattern.
for serious hard or bad weather riding I prefer a better tread design or higher speed rating.
