Do you think either of these has the capacity to stitch heavy leather?wheelbender6 wrote:To me, the CB300R looks much better than the CB500F, with that transformer headlight.
Well, that is one possibility alright. There are others.jrsjr wrote:I assume that means that a slew of new pages for the different models of the G400C are forthcoming.

Dang!az_slynch wrote:Just looked for fun...there is a URL, genuinemotorcyles.com, which currently points to the scooter site. Maybe they'll stand the G400 family up over there?
Good point. And in the case of the 650, the price differential between the Ninja version of the bike and the Z version is about $400, so I'm guessing that the 400 will be very similar, making the Z400 a stone bargain in the way of a 400cc bike.wheelbender6 wrote:The current Ninja 400 sportbike MSRP is under 5grand without abs.
That is a tough deal to beat.
Just checked it again, now it says "Coming November 2018"jrsjr wrote:The page for the Genuine G400C has been taken down!

Agreed. The only remaining decision factor for me will be whether Royal Enfield get their new 650 twin into the USA market quickly.PhillyKick wrote:There are definitely a few other bikes in this thread that fit the bill for me, but none really have that classic style (while being reasonably priced)
My guess: bottom picture is the Honda.jrsjr wrote:Which is the Honda CB 400 SS and which is the Genuine G400C?
There's something else that's slightly less obvious and a slightly bigger deal. See if you can spot it!Stanza wrote:Bottom picture is the G400C.
That crossbar support on the fender is a dead giveaway.

The biggest giveaway is that when you hover your mouse pointer over each photo it tells you what it is...jrsjr wrote:There's something else that's slightly less obvious and a slightly bigger deal. See if you can spot it!Stanza wrote:Bottom picture is the G400C.

That's good, but that's not it. Look closer, it's really obvious once you see it...Stanza wrote:Catalytic converter on the pipe? yea the honda has certain parts that are styled to look older but they both look like modern nakeds to me...there are quite a few retro styled bikes coming out though...not sure how many to the US though...royal enfield, moto guzzi and triumph are pretty good at it...i feel like if you can design/build a light, good quality, reliable, quick, nimble, 250-500cc bike that can maintain highway speeds then you could sell a lot of units...all of the major companies are building bikes in this engine size range so there must be a demand for them...more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slowk1dude wrote:Yeah, that's pretty hot:Point37 wrote:in my opinion ktm duke 390>honda cb300r

But one looks sort of cafe and the other is distinctly modern.

And, as of the 5th of September, the 2018 Royal Enfield Himalayan has CARB certification. It is On Like Donkey Kong! This is kind of exciting. What we started talking about three and four years ago is happening. Stay tuned.RoaringTodd wrote:The Himalayan is quite the bargain.

The 2019 Alliance Powersports Wolf 300 officially received CARB certification so they are good to go in California for 2019.RoaringTodd wrote:The SYM Wolf 300i is out now.
I, too, am keeping an eye on the RE twins.

Both, maybe? Since the 150 is a carb and the 300 is FI? It'll be interesting to see what the motorcycing press say about this $4999 machine.babblefish wrote:FWIW: https://www.alliancepowersports.com/mod ... ycles.htmljrsjr wrote:The 2019 Alliance Powersports Wolf 300 officially received CARB certification so they are good to go in California for 2019.RoaringTodd wrote:The SYM Wolf 300i is out now.

They show gas mileage as 85 mpg, same as the Wolf 150. Interesting...either the Wolf 150 is very inefficient or the Wolf 300i is very efficient.
