G400C Scrambler

Looks great. It's a shame Genuine doesn't offer a Scrambler version of the G400C. I'd be more inclined to buy one if they did. It's not even on my radar in it's current form. So for now, I'll continue saving for a Triumph Scrambler or if I get too impatient, an RE Himalayan.

The Himalayan is a whole lot of bike for the money, but I don't think I want 8" of suspension travel.
A street bike with dual purpose tires and up-swept exhaust will work better for me and my short legs

I messaged Genuine on FB, asking about accessories and so forth. They replied right away, they're working on a 440 big bore kit, several exhaust options, and custom tires from Continental. Sounds like a good start. And I'm thinking I read somewhere that there are 4 different versions of the Genuine that were CARB certified..??

That first link is my local scooter shop. I saw that bike first hand this week, looks cool!

After looking at bikes that are suitable for a scrambler conversion. I think the G400C is tops.
-Monoshock bikes like the Himalayan are ruled out.
-The SR400 is too expensive and I am getting too old to kick start.
-You can purchase a scrambler kit for a Suzuki S40/Savage, but it is a pricey kit (for me). You must replace the 15 inch rear wheel and a million other things, because the S40 is a cruiser.
-the Suzuki TU250 is a good candidate, but it is only a 250.
-A new G400C looks ideal compared to these other bikes.
