I have 13.5 gram dr pulley sliders in there now and i'm wondering if increasing the weight will lower the rpms on the freeway?
At freeway speeds isn't the belt at the maximum position anyways?
Variator weights effect maximum rpm?

Probably not, although you would need to go from one to the other and compare notes to find out.
Since the slider weights, due to their design, allows the belt to move slightly higher up the variator ramps, and if 14.0 gram weights were replaced with 14.0 gram slider weights, your scooter would gain mph, and rpm would drop.
Therefore, in all likelyhood you will find no appreciable change in your top speed with your current set-up. You should have noticed, however, a marked difference in take-off and mid-range performance.
