Was looking for a K&N filter that would fit in the OEM frame in place of the paper filter. Found one that fit with a little alteration to the frame and the removal of excess rubber around the filter without cutting into the filter material itself.

K&N #HA-1502

Once the filters excess rubber is trimmed off (I did it with a sharp butcher knife) its just a little longer than the window of the OEM. On the back side of the frame I cut off the side ends of the window that held the original paper filter. The K&N then fits in place and is easily affixed with some automotive silicone around all the edges front and back.

No more buying OEM filters.

Is the fuel injection adapting OK to the increase in air flow?

Havn't noticed a difference in that regard. I'm not sure how much actual increase there is in airflow verses stock, but I wanted something I could clean and reuse rather than buying new filters at $35.00 a pop. I frequently ride on dusty roads and this helps mitigate the cost and ordering hassle of OEM filters.
