Orange for Black

Post by ssauer2004 »

I recently purchased a gray and orange Blur. I like the colors. I would rather have gray and black. Anyone want to swap the black painted pieces, including wheels, for the same orange pieces? Just throwing it out there. All the pieces are in excellent condition.

If you don't find someone, you can buy the replacement parts also.. I bought the front black dash piece (after hearing about Babblefish do it) for $27 from the dealer.

Not sure how much the main pieces would cost.. but the tail would be easy to paint black, and then you'd just have to deal with the wheels.

I painted mine, figured if I screwed it up I'd just buck up and pay for the black pieces. I went with silver and like the way it looks now even with the orange wheels.

I wish mine was more orange. If they made 13" orange tires, I'd be all over them.

I'm with illinoise. If they had more Orange accessories and such I'd be all over them...

We just picked up and all orange Buddy for my wife. You might be right, more orange might have been better. Maybe orange is just one of those colors you either go big or go home. In the case of the Blur, it was easier to cover it up than add to it. :D

I've seen some G-Max's that were almost all Orange and they looked kinda hot. But I don't want to rattle can those big body panels. If I'm going to to a full color change, I'll pull the panels and have them shot at a body shop with real paint.

I don't know if I'd even do that, that textured finish just doesn't seem like it'd take paint well, even if it was done by a pro.

Oooh, That's weird, it's just about impossible to find black 13" tires, but there they are in orange. I guess I HAVE to get them now. Well, when my tires wear out.

Has anyone with a blur actually switched tires yet? Mine are going to rot before they wear out, I have embarrassingly low mileage for a 2006 scooter and they don't show much wear.

The 120/60-13 seems to not exist in the US. 130/60-13 are not too hard to find. Some have said they'd go to 130 in the front and 140 in the rear.

The colored tires are kinda crazy, but I'm thinking they're not going to be that great of a tire. Be careful in the corners. They'll get warm and melt like a box of crayons left in the car :D

I love orange ... but those tires have crossed the line of orangeness to me.

Wear on my tread area is also good (with 5100 Blur units and 200 digital cluster miles in 2 years), though the sidewall edges are showing wear from my knee-dragging rides.... 8)

I'm kind of nervous about my tires after seeing this video

my rims (and my spine) hurt.
