Rattler 110 lights

Post by mattgordon »

My new Rattler is great, but I noticed that the headlight dims and fluctuates in brightness as the scooter idles at stoplights, etc. Reminds me of my old 1973 Vespa Sprint...where better lighting could be had by holding a lit match out in front of you as you rode!

Is this typical? It makes me think that the electrical system (stator?) is not too powerful, because the rpm's need to be higher to make the light brighter.

I really don't plan on riding it at night too often, but just want to be sure it's normal. Anyone?

That's pretty typical for most (smaller) scooters. They don't have much of a charging system, and what's there is only enough to keep the lights going.
