Left Brake Lever

Post by TomCat »

RH tumbled while making a tight turn today. Left brake lever busted.
Will a Buddy lever fit the RH? Is it difficult to replace? (any directions appreciated).
Knee sore as hell, hopefully I didn't screw it up bad.
Thanks,
Tom

I don't have mine here (it's still at the shop waiting for a couple parts). You should be able to loosen the nut underneath and then undo the screw on top. Check the attached image.

Oh yeah, I'm finding that most parts from the buddy work just dandy. Might be a good time to upgrade to dogleg/foldable though. Hope the fall wasn't too bad... tight turns can be a bit tricky on such a light scooter.

Thanks spr0k3t, I'll order the Buddy lever.
Knee pretty swollen, won't be riding for awhile so will have plenty of time to repair lever.

Got around to replacing the lever today, spr0k3t's directions were spot on.
The only additional thing I had to do was back off the rear brake adjusting nut as far as it would go without coming off to give the cable enuff slack.
Now good as new :)
