Help wont start

Post by bennfine »

Hi:

Big rain storm last night (i have a feeling this is relevant).

New battery in the roughhouse, blinkers work, etc...

Wont start today. Can't kick start. Starter gives the "neigh, neigh" sound.

Where would I try spraying starter fluid? clueless of course.

Usually have no problem kick starting or electric start. gas is a few days old.

thanks!

For starter fluid... pull off the airbox and spray into the carb.

Indoor or outdoor storage? Could be vapor lock, try removing the gas cap.

also, could it be a bad spark plug? i'm reading the forums trying to figure out where that is (and running outside with my flashlight...). is the spark plug on the roughhouse under the oil reservoir and accessible from the bottom of the bike? i think i see this thickish black wire that ends in what is probably the park plug, just don't want to yank on it in darkness.

thanks!
