New Member with Rattler 110
Hello, I am a retired Motorcycle mechanic that has always liked the small bikes best. I just sold two old 1940's bikes and bought an 09 Rattler 110. I am having a ball with this scooter. Brings back memories of my youth. I look forward to learning more about it here and hope I can contribute some too. Gary in The Southern Tier of Western NY State.

Welcome Gary. As an owner of a Roughhouse 50 I agree, these things are fun. I have had (and still have) many motorcycles. But I find myself plotting to buy another scooter. Scooters get me back closer to the fun I had when young, riding my first bike. No complications, simple pleasure.
My longest trip so far with the Roughhouse is 120 miles. On 50CCs. Crazy; but it works, and it is worth it.

I use Motul 2T, which is what my dealer recommends. Seem like a good quality choice.
Regarding the Grom, pretty cool, but probably too small physically for me to feel comfortable on. But for a younger person it ought to be a kick. (Although I still have an old Honda CT70...) Still, I admit to being very interested in the Grom and I hope Honda sells a bunch of them. It will be cool to see one in person.
I am looking at the 2014 Piaggio Fly 150. Good quality, good price, decent performance, and HUGE storage under the seat. Seems like a practical choice for my next scoot.
