Specs to clean roughhouse carb??

Post by Maker »

Do these exist someplace? My roughhouse has sat and it stalls out after start.
Thinking maybe I should clean it out?

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Hi Maker. What I have done after letting my RH50 sit overwinter is take off the air cleaner and spray out the carb with carb cleaner. Also in the last three years I have been using Start Your Engines. I use a 1 gallon gas can and mix the entire container in, that way I can fill the tank at least twice to get this thoroughly into the gas system. Then its just a matter of using your favorite maintenance fluid through the season, i.e. Stabil, SeaFoam, B12 Chemtool, StarTron, etc. The gas oil mix helps to keep the damage done by ethanol gas to a minimum so it really doesn't take too much effort to get our beasts going again. Just remember to treat your gas before laying it up for the winter. Good luck getting it going again.

The Start you engine and new battery worked perfectly. Thanks for that tip!
