The proper belt for rattler 110

Post by johnslack110 »

Hello all. Just bought the mallosi belt--x-kevlar--738x18x30 size. Which was about 5-6 mm smaller then the oem belt in it. needless to say it was very tough to get on and only after around 20 miles the belt was just shredded and I had to put the original back. Which still functions fine. I also bought the stage 1 kit from scooter works and put in the prima pipe, 12 gram rollers and 2000rpm ncy spring. Also had the pod air intake put in and tuned with the 95 jet at my local shop. I now have better mid section where it maintains speed up hills. But have lost some top end. Any suggestions on how to get some top end back? A gram or two heavier roller or 1500 rpm spring? Also. I want to buy a back up belt. Anyone have a site that will sell the exact belt I would need and also thinking of new clutch or variator. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Was your top speed loss with the Kevlar belt? Being shorter won't allow it to the outer edge of your variator.

Thanks for the information. Any one find a performance company that makes this size?? Brando or malossi? Also wondering which aftermarket clutch or variator is out there.

That "dragon" ebay seller from the UK does not show the belt specs in the ad...so don't expect it to fit like an OEM belt.

Try longer belt first, but I think the 2,000 spring may be too much. I prefer a 1500 in most stuff.
Speed is only a matter of money...How fast do you want to go?

Thanks for the info. I ordered the 1500 spring the other day and I'll see what that will do. Anyone have any thoughts on the clutch springs too?? Get the 1500 also?
