New owner: 2t tank and foam thingie questions

Hello. I’m a new Roughhouse owner with a whopping 30 miles on it thus far. I have a couple of questions I couldn’t seem to find addressed via a search.
1- How many miles should I expect out of a tank of 2t oil (I will keep it topped off, but I’m curious what the expected range is before it would give a low oil warning)
2- In the under seat compartment there was the rear fender extension, manual, restrictor washers, and a small rectangular foam piece. Is this foam perhaps to go under or over the battery? I noticed a clunk over bumps from the battery compartment, so I’m wondering if this foam is intended for use in to cushion the battery.
