I lost my center stand cotter pin yesterday and was lucky to figure it out prior to it causing me any harm. Anyhow check out the rinky pin holding your center stand on and replace it with a more stronger thicker cotter pin. You'll thank me later.

And then go to wal-mart, buy a cheap set of hex wrenches, take the 2.5 mm off the key chain deal, jam it in the whole there the cotter pin goes, and bend with a hammer.

I went through a few cotter pins on my honda before I resorted to this method. Works like a champ
