Just bought a 110 need advice

I just bought my first scooter the other day. I pick out a silver rattler 110. I am having a blast riding it. I have almost 100 miles on it. My question is that I have read many posts and reviews of this scooter and all seem to say it is really quick on take off, hard to keep the front wheel down. I weigh about 175lbs and it seem rather sluggish on take off. Once it's moving it seems quick but not from a dead stop. Is this the norm or should i be looking at adjusting the carb? Thanks for any tips.
