Scooter Photo Scavenger Hunt 2010 Week 2: Got Gas?
March 4th – April 11th

Join in on the fun!
Note: if you didn’t get in last week, that’s fine, you can still jump in.
You do not have to go crazy with 20 point photos – If you want, feel free to go get the basic photo & post up. No one will give you a hard time here. We just want lots of people to play along – the fun part is seeing LOTS of scoots with the subject of the week.

Your Scooter at a gas station

4 pts- your scooter at a gas station
+1pt if your scooter is being filled with a gas nozzle
+2 pts if you are in the photo
+1 pt for each Truck or SUV or FULL SIZE van (not mini van) in the pic, at the stations pumps (max 10 pts)
(trucks in the background, that are not at the pumps, don’t count)
+2 pts if you are pretending to clean your scooter with the gas station’s squeegee
+1 pt if we can clearly see the price of gas on the station SIGN (not the pump)
+1 pt for the first pic in this week

PLEASE do your own math & include you point total with your submission!!!!

General Rules for every week:
-Only one photo may be submitted by each member for each week’s subject. (but if you get a better pic later in the week, POST IT with your new points - PLEASE edit your original post note that you posted a better pic and note in the newer post that it is a replacement for a previous pic.
-Old photos you have lying around can NOT be used- they must be NEW photos taken the week the photo subject was posted
-No Photoshop submissions
-Prizes? Eric says YES! At the end of each month the person with the best point totals for the hunts run during that month will get a prize... but this is about bragging rights & all the fun we will have this summer… not just prizes so play along even if you don’t plan on winning

Good theme! Had to fill up at the local station just as I was headed to the USPS for week 1 photos. Didn't read ahead so I hope to ride like a madman this week to use up my tank so I can get a gas photo.

And what do you mean 'pretend' to clean your scoot with the squeegie? Is there any other way?

Thanks. We needed the gas, so bringing the camera along on our evening ride was a no brainer. At least this pic is much clearer than last week's effort.

Thanks for running the scavenger hunt. We're new scooter owners and this adds to the fun!

I kind of love that with the exception of Kroger gas that pic could be almost any city in any state in the US!

And the strange looks we were getting during that picture are definitely not unique to Houston.

Ok... its almost the weekend & the weather is looking MUCH better in the midwest (week was pretty crappy) so lets see some more photos!

Nice shot. Am on a bus to NYC right now, so my quest to take a photo will have to wait until tomorrow. Supposed to be sunny so I should be able to at least get a squeegie and some gas.

I'm actually filling up my scoot, but even at full resolution I can't see the nozzle D'Oh!

I just want to let y'all know, I had to rebuild the carb on Stella von Tow to even get the wench to the gas station!
