Scooter Photo Scavenger Hunt 2010 May Week 3: Police!
May 16- May 23

Join in on the fun!
Note: if you haven’t joined the hunt yet, you can still jump in.
You do not have to go crazy with 20 point photos – If you want, feel free to go get the basic photo & post up. No one will give you a hard time here. We just want lots of people to play along – the fun part is seeing LOTS of scoots with the subject of the week.

This week’s hunt subject is a great suggestion from BootScootin'FireFighter – THANKS!

Your Scooter with a police vehicle

4Pts – your scooter with a police vehicle
+2pts if it is a police SUV
+3pts if it is a police Truck (not a SUV)
+4pts if it is a police ATV
+4pts if it is a police golf cart
+5pts if it is a police boat
+8pts if it is a police helicopter or airplane
+2pts if there is a police officer in the photo
+5pts if the officer is posing with you scooter (excludes the 2 points above)
+2 pts if you are in the photo
+1pt if you are wearing a badge (real or fake)
+5pts if you are wearing handcuffs (real or fake… and we don’t want to know why you have them)
+2pts if it is clear that you scoot & the police vehicle are at a police station
+1 pt for the first pic in this week

- sorry we are only taking points for one vehicle – you can take your photo at a station parking lot, but you only get points for ONE police vehicle in the pic.

Questions? PM me

Photo must be posted by midnight in YOUR time zone on 5/23/10

PLEASE do your own math & include you point total (for that week) with your submission!!!!

Here is an example from the 2008 hunt by sailortot
4Pts – your scooter with a police vehicle
+2pts if it is a police SUV
+2pts if there is a police officer in the photo
+5pts if the officer is posing with you scooter (excludes the 2 points above)
+2 pts if you are in the photo
So this would be worth 15 points

We didn't do "your scoot with a police vehicle" in 2008 - this pic is from the running bonus for all weeks that summer - "get a pic of you getting a ticket from a cop"

I'm just working up the nerve to ask a cop for some help with a silly request!

I'm currently scooterless. If I get the red one put back together in time, I know where the Sheriff's Dept hangars their helicopter and I'm not shy :)

a 19 pointer! I had asked about the handcuffs, but he said it was against policy to play around with the handcuffs, or taking pictures with them... I'd be curious what brought about that policy

nice pic Dakota, did you ask your officer about the cuffs?

I'm not missing this week's Hunt, but I don't think I can match up with bootscootin' and Dakota, I'm just not worthy.

I've never been a smoker so I have no idea what a good price for smokes is. Your taxes must be quite a bit higher.

Hmmmm, higher taxes less people smoking...........good

Less people smoking less tax revenue brought in that the state has gotten used to spending............bad

Hmmm, what shall we tax next? (my small political rant for the day)

yeah... best price around here is now $51 a carton
a lot more than that in Cook county (Chicago)

time to quit anyway

Hope to get a pic up tomorrow morning now that my scooter is back together & I am done screwing around all day today on the road

This is an easy one (for a basic pic anyway)

Exactly what I thought, until I spent half the day riding around looking.

Sheesh, where's a cop when you need one?

Hours. I spent hours this weekend just riding, looking for a cop. I speeded, I ran red lights, I broke more traffic laws yesterday and today than I have in a decade just trying to find a policeman. (Ok, I really didn't do any of those things, except for the riding and looking part.)

It was a pretty good weekend.

I would've tried a ride past Sky Harbor Airport, always a sure bet place to find cops, near the arrival departure lanes. I can't say how co-operative they'd be though.

Did you miss me?

This accident happened this morning and I took a bunch of photos for the newspaper I freelance for. Got Scootle in this one but was unable to get in the shot as there was MADNESS going on.

Points...

4 points for scooter with a police vehicle
2 points for the officer in the photo

Lowly 6 points. Really ZERO because I missed the deadline. But still got the photo.
