Hey diblit, I recommend carrying large bags of pet food on the floorboard. You can put your feet on the passenger pegs/plate (bend your knee sport-bike style) or scooch them onto the side of the bag. It will give you much better handling to have weight down low and central. You don't even have to bungee it in as it shouldn't move unless you're taking super-aggressive turns.

thanks, sioban!! i'm still new to this and never thought of center of gravity, but you're right! more stability that way! and if i do that, i'll have more room on the seat for my paper towels or toilet paper!

Excited to have a picture for this thread, though not nearly as epic as some of the hauls posted. It got a couple smiles, and when I picked it up I ran in with my helmet and gloves on, the girl was very sweet and asked if I needed the box taped. Gave her a $2 tip. If anyone is in Connecticut and hasn't had Colony Grill, you're crazy! It's the best pizza ever, any time someone visits I bring them there and they all say it's the best they've had. Here's my pepperoni, black olive, and hot oil:

I also picked up chinchilla food at Petco and after the fact thought about the picture.

Good job!

I've been able to get $150 worth onto either bike so far. The bigger items go into the bigger Shad on the back of the Kymco, but the flat seat allows more on the Buddy.

A couple in the pet carrier, a couple on the floorboard attached to the hook, etc. Next to me was a guy on a giant cruiser (no saddlebags) who couldn't figure out what to do with his one bag.

Been there, done both of these!
I just laugh at myself......
