Photo Request -- Two Tone Stella

Post by JohnnyScoots »

Do any of you guys and girls have a two- tone Stella?

Not to be picky, but I would love to see the green with another color.

Not green, but how about my old Blue & White '05 2T? I repainted it myself with the help of the guys from ACME Auto Paint in Mesa, AZ (Used to be Space Age Auto Paint) after getting into an accident. Used an enamel finish instead of a base coat/clear coat, and while it took well into two days, I was able to come out damn good on it. The cool part is that the striping on the cowls isn't the original paint: It's Vinyl tape that I found that matched the EXACT paint on the scooter! I was just going to go all white, but when I found that it made all the difference.

And, they were able to compress all the paint and chemicals into spray cans since I couldn't use an air-compressor at my apartment. Made for getting a smooth finish much harder, and required alot more wet sanding, but it only cost me $75 for all materials involved. Well worth a weekend's work if you want to be bold and try something different.

those are all awesome looking. I used to shake of the thought of two- tone, but lately I've come to really enjoy it.
