Italia International gets PINK, Blacked Out and covered in flowers...

Fathers Day 2013: Did not plan it this way yet ended up this weekend as several things just aligned themselves to work out where I was home alone most of the weekend and just received a BIG box of goodies so this is my gift to my wife kind of a thanks for making me the father I am by putting up with me, having my back, trusting me all those "dad" years while raising the kids.

Time For A Change: This was our third Buddy to roll past 10,000 miles and this time I wanted to give her something she always wanted since we got her first 07 Italia. Her own PINK Buddy! This Buddy started as an Italia International. She rode it that way for just over 10,000 miles before the Potent Pink parts showed up. We added the plush pile seat cover from Suzy @ Cheeky Seats (actually ended up with three for variation), kept the black inside plastics from an earlier mod when it was brand new, kept the black chrome & rear Givi topcase, added the wicker basket (something else she always wanted to have) and then using our commercial paint from work, painted the rims a matt black that has held up very nicely this past year and added the black wall tires to complete the look.

Buddy 150 in Potent Pink (more flower pictures below in thread)!

Added picture dressed the way she rides it:

I bet that pink scooter really stands out on the road. Great idea.

Sure does and she gets comments on it everywhere she goes - especially with the tiger black/pink seat cover - looks all pimped out!

Black Out Kit Added

Had this black out kit show up some time ago and this weekend seemed the perfect time to get it installed. Total time (including washing/polishing every part throughout the swap) was about three hours. Of course she will want her wicker basket put back on but left it off to get some pics.

Yep - you are right and the mirrors too. That will really look great!

Have to wait until I upgrade the matt black - then swap them out.

How much did it cost to do a complete body swap? Is this scooter for sale?

Hard cost for panels retail somewhere around $600.

My wife rides this scooter daily with now over 15K miles.

Wow - It is hard to believe this scooter started as an Italia with the black mods as shown here! Quick flash back to the first day we brought it home - to two years ago when we first did the pink body panel swap.

This entire body was switched over in 2015 to my wife's 170i - so it looks pretty much the same with the Potent Pink body panels.

And now three years after converting the Potent Pink panes to her new 2014 170i she is ready for Spring!

The newer 2014 is blacked out including the black fork and black trans cover to complete the look.

Upgraded to the 2014 (Matt Black) 170 then switched to the Potent Pink Panels to get that black fork! Nothing like taking the long way...
