My new Stella 2T from CO to CA

Post by Allgrownsup »

Thanks to a fellow scooter bud in CO I was able to snag this 2008 Stella 2T (with only 940 miles on it!) there and have it transported here to me in LA.

She arrived stock & I spent the weekend cleaning her up, spiffing those whitewalls, painting the rims red (Dupli-Color), and adding a new brown Cheeky Seats cover. Her name is Baby and no one puts her in the corner.

Here's her "before" on Saturday:

Her "after" today, basking in her post-DMV legally registered glow:

Looking good. While you were spiffing the whitewalls, did you see and cracks, or how old they were?

Thanks Syd!

I did. The spare looked great (near perfect) so I swapped it with my front, which was in the worst shape. Rear looking not great so my plan is to get a replacement for that one soon. Actually maybe I can find a 4th of July sale. The scoot was garage-kept the entirety of it's life and I'm keeping a very close eye on them checking air pressure daily but still I know it isn't ideal . . .

Here's the front close-up:

And the rear with the tiny cracks forming:
