Favorite Stickers or Decals on your Scoot

Post by sotied »

How have you expressed your personality or views on your scoot?

I've just added the flying spaghetti monster to the rear mud flap.

And I put four bullet hole stickers on it. One in the front right panel and three on the rear right panel.

I also plan to put my 90+MPG pin in the back of the seat and a no-smoking sticker near the gas tank by the pet carrier.

How about you?

**fixed spelling mistake**

I'm shopping now. Carmen got de-badged today and she's looking a bit naked. I was actually looking for a FSM emblem for the back last night, though I may go with the Pirate fish or the Sushi fish. Also on the lookout for a suitable pinup decal to put on the front where the "Buddy 150" badge was.

Thanks for the links. All of the other ones I was able to find looked pretty low quality or were too modern...and dirty. Note, don't look for pinup decals at work. Bad plan.

Go look at http://www.bowlofcheese.tumblr.com for two new photos of my scoot.

Just posted them there.

One is the bullet holes (put them on my helmet too.

The other is the FSM on my rear mud flap.

That sticker on the back of KRUSTYburger's scoot is the one for me.

Free Bullet Holes!

No, I don't have the capacity to put a cap in you, but I have some extra stickers.

If you like the look of the bullet holes (see my earlier post and tumblr link), I have twelve extra holes that I'm not gonna use. They sent me five sheets of four and I only used eight holes.

Four come on a sheet. Just pay me postage. PM me or post here.

Or buy them yourself. I got them at www.stickergiant.com. It was $6 for 20 bullet holes.

Hi Piedmont,

I found some really cool reflective decals on purpleharley.com. I didn't see any fish on there but they did have pinups.

I don't have any stickers on mine yet. However, I am waiting for my scooter club stickers to arrive and then will have at least one of these on it:

I have an Apple sticker to put on too, just have not done so.

I am also considering doing some reflective stickers in a pattern to make it look cool and for nighttime visibility, do those count as faves if they look cool?

The back window of my F150 has decals of Hello Kitty, Godzilla, Star Wars rebel insignia and a sketchy-looking disc golfer. I know the HK decal has people scratching their heads ...

As for Buddy, he's got the fire nation symbol on the front and I have the same on the back of my helmet.

I would LOVE to find a reflective FSM. I figure decals ought to do double duty (safety) as much as possible. still looking, but here are some more sites:

It's shiny. I guess you could add reflective to it somehow. Maybe with dust or sparkle stuff from a rubber stamp store.

The monster came from stickergiant.com. As did the bullet holes.

AND my new sticker came today from another online place. The bumper (or buddy) sticker reads:

Red meat isn't bad for you
Fuzzy green meat is!

See a photo of the sticker - not yet mounted - at http://www.bowlofcheese.tumblr.com

Spaghetti monster decal is there too, just scroll down.

Nautical Stars

Post by CO BlackCatRider »

The Nautical Star can symbolize many things... I have three of them tattooed on me... one for my wife, my son, and myself... a representation of my family as a whole... But they can mean many things to different people... Most people associate tattoos of stars with high achievement, persistence, or a striking and illuminating event in one’s life (according to Wikipedia)...

I figured that the stars added a nice punk look to my kick ass scooter so I added three of them to the front and sides... once again, giving me the three stars for my family...

Nice nautical stars! I really like your symbology of the "shining" star. I have a nautical star tattoo, symbolizing 1) the nautical meaning of home (locus point on a compass) and 2) the Lone Star State. Yes, Texas is my home, and yes, my hometown of Dallas is indeed landlocked...

I have a tendency to over-accessorize, so I'm purposefully keeping my stickers down to a bare minimum. I have one sticker on my mudflap for my most favoritest band, ever, Rocket From The Crypt. I'm still toying with the idea of trying for an RFTC vanity plate. Hmm....

Thanks.

The seat beads actually keep the butt sweat under control. I can't decide if I should buy a black one to match the seat. That one was $5 (bought a car seat cover for $10 and cut it down to make two scooter covers). The black one is $35 and square, so it won't go back as far.

I'd be afraid the beads would make me roll off the seat on a fast stop! I guess since they're pressing down on the rubbery-type seat it keeps it secure? At least it looks cool... plus nobody likes butt sweat!!!

...well, maybe some weirdos out there.

What are you looking for? Something that is plotter cut vinyl (typically 1 color) or multiple color? How many do you want? Only to a few or 250 or more?

If you are wanting to make only 1 sticker then your best bet is to go sign shop. Most can create a plotter cut vinyl sticker or color printed vinyl.

If you want large quantities then you should go to a screen printer that prints vinyl stickers. Like where I work (http://www.contagiousgraphics.com/Stickers/stickers.html)

Here are some examples from other posts:

The stripes and flame are plotter cut vinyl.

The beads are actually strung with a lot of tension on them and then there is even more tension when you bungee them in place, plus the weight of the rider.

The beads are arranged so that half face front to back and half face side to side. The cover doesn't move. Even when you want to move it, it takes some effort.

Fair enough. But it could be done by a plotter as well :D. I just wanted to try and illustrate the difference.

I wanted to make some symbols from reflective tape, so I chose 2 runes. The top is Algiz which is for protection/shield/defense. I thought it was appropriate for safe scootering. The bottom one is Jera 'a good harvest.'

Thanks for that. I am actually looking for just one for the front of the scooter. I'll go to a sign maker for that. Hopefully they can make what I want.

It is a UNI brand airfilter. It allows more to flow into the bike to balance out the increase of air exiting the bike through the Prima Exhaust pipe. (performance upgrades)

Sorry to disappoint, they are not glittery or reflective (but now that you mentioned it, I wish they were, haha)... I think the flash made them look that way... I found the kitty head/pirate online and then had them cut out stars for me. Thanks for the comment! Glad you like em...
