I found leftover Halloween decoration...will that count? They had a Christmas tree in the window too, so perhaps the ghoul is a permanent installment above their garage. I felt a bit like a creep pulling up in front of their house for a photo...

If it does, next tag is for those brave against cold: a half-frozen pond, preferably with stones like a stone wall.

[Edited to try to get the image order right!]

The new tag! Your scooter with a thermometer not on your residence's premises. Basically, your scooter and the temperature.

New tag... Scooter in front of a National Park Service sign. (Please have the official Nation Parks Service logo). This could be a National Park, National Battlefield, National Monument, National Scenic Highway, National Historic Sight, National Wildlife Refuge, National Recreation Area, National Seashore, National Forest, etc, etc. Break out of the gloomy winter blues and go visit a National Park near you!

Here we go, Nice reflection shot.

Next one is perhaps a tricky one. And If it is deemed unacceptable I will redo.

Yes the Steer horns are on all the time. I might take them off if it looks like days of rain coming.

I left it pretty vague, Any trait. So if they are both black thats cool. Or find one with whitewall tires. This kind of stuff.

next tag, a VERY tall communications tower. This hideous monstrosity, the Hughes Memorial Tower, looms high above the Brightwood neighborhood of NW Washington, near Georgia Ave. and Peabody St. at 761 feet tall.

Al Grande,
The idea of Scooter Tag is that someone (in this case Boot Sccotin' Fire Fighter) posts a picture of his scoot with an object (in this case a communication tower).

Your mission, if you wish to accept it, is to take a picture of your scoot with a communication tower then an second picture with you scoot in front of, behind, next to... another object.

If you look back a couple pages, you'll find a table of all the items that have been used in the Tag. We'd prefer that you choose something that hasn't been used before. That might sound hard to do, but really, the possibilities are endless.

So grab your camera, head on out and get the Tag rolling again!

I'm still here, I just missed two of the best months of the year in Phx for riding. But I'm pretty much back, I think, and I have an idea for the perfect next tag.

So anyone interested (AL GRANDE, I didn't piss you off did I?) you have a day or so to beat me to the punch.

It doesn't have to be VERY tall, that trying to make it interesting. If it's over 100', that's good enough and we'll get this game moving. I found it fascinating that in this metro area of over 5 million people, the antenna is the tallest structure.

Not exactly a VERY tall tower at 130' but it made front page news a couple times and had a half dozen articles written about it. It sits atop a knoll amongst houses and that's the best/closest picture I could get.

Post by Glen G »

U are da man! Dumpster behind Fraternity row ASU... True story. The day I shot that photo, there was a very very pretty girl just a few yards from that spot. It was about 6:30am and she looked like she had just slept with the whole frat and been kicked out. I said are you OK? And she said "I guess, but I need a ride",,, being a married guy, I called her a cab (no extra scooter helmet).

I have this on the SCMP message board for our scooter tag if you want to post it.

On to a cell phone tower...

Next tag: Harley Davidson dealership

It must be during their regular business hours. No sneaking in there after they close. I didn't have the guts to take a picture of the two guys standing outside the service department that were staring at me.

The people at Harley in Pawtuket were quite nice to me. Asked if I was looking to trade up, and even when I said no they still let me browse the store, hehe.

New tag: Diner cart! Pictured before you is the Modern Diner, a 1941 Sterling Streamliner, the first diner to be placed on the National Register of Historic Places. They do an amazing array of eggs with things, things on french toast, and pancakes and things. I try to go during the week, since they have a line out the door every weekend morning.

OK, just for credit... This place is called "The Duce" in Phoenix and you can't bring scoots inside. So first photo is outside, then the steamliner is actually just inside. Strange but cool place... It's also part boxing ring.

I'd heard of the legendary 'Scooter Only' parking sign from a friend of mine. According to the tales, it could be found tucked in the far corner of an unmarked parking lot behind Brown University offices, in front of a quaint colonial house. There were two scooter parked in the lot, but I couldn't photograph them and still read the sign. What can I say, Brown professors scoot.
