Why is this tube not connected to anything?

Post by rgbwatcher »

Hello and happy Thanksgiving!

I was winterizing the scooter last weekend, when I noticed this rubber tube on the left side above the center stand which wasn't connected to anything.

I did drive the scoot after this discovery, and it started and ran fine, so it's not catastrophic or anything. But what IS it?

Thanks!

It's fine, all buddy's have them. It's a overflow tube, I forget for what liquid though.

You got a boy scooter!
I suppose I should be upset, even feel violated, but I'm not. No, in fact, I think this is a friendly message, like "Hey, wanna play?" and yes I want to play. I really really do.

it's a breather tube that comes off of your carb. Standard stuff for carberated motors.

Here I thought it was a girl 'cause it doesn't like to play with trucks.

Thanks for making me feel better about the tube to nowhere, and for confirming the gender of my Buddy!

I would imagine your buddy would be in a lot of pain if it gets obstructed - ouch!
