I seem to remember it rained on the big ride the year before last, and we did some practice riding in the rain at the Metro cookout recently.

I am not afraid, bring it on.

So who all's going? I'll be there (though I don't usually make it to all the events, gotta visit family.)

I probably won't bring a bike because we haven't put a trailer hitch on the new car yet. But introduce yourselves, I look forward to meeting some of you. I'm bad with names/faces, so cut me some slack (I guess I walked right past ScooterDave last year without saying 'hi.')

Yeah...I saw one dude last week on the Metro ride do a serious slide on some crosswalk paint when he made a very bad decision to hit the brakes at a light rather than proceed with the rest of the group. I was behind him but luckily we were staggered and no one hit him while he was trying to get the bike stable. Geez!

I have been stalking weather sites on the interwebs hourly  . So far Sat looks good. Sunday some sprinkles. My scoot is riding down with others on a trailer so not sure if the crew will be staying for Sunday ride (I hope of course, yes).

It looks like you guys have started spring down there. Woo hoo! I am sure I will be able to find you with the pink scoot and all. I can't wait to see how many miles it has.

On second thought, I am very glad the forcast is good for Saturday. I don't mind riding in the rain, but since I won't know all of the 14,000 other scooterists projected to be there it's best if things stay dry. Not everybody is comfortable/experienced riding in the rain.

I'm looking forward to meeting lots more people who's names I will unfortunately probably not remember. Don't take it personally, it's just faulty wiring somewhere in my head. I'll recognize faces and remember meeting, just not the name. I usually need to meet folks 3 to 5 times before I get names at all.

I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store this year. The ferry ride across the river last year was awesome.

The wife and I are going to be there again this year. I think this is like our 5th year now?

We're probably not going to bring of our vintage bikes though (don't feel like messing with a trailer) so I think we'll both just be riding our Buddys.

Hers: Pink '06 with basket, Prima, and windshield
his: black '08 plain stock.

I'm the same way with remembering names, so don't feel offended. The only person I remember year-to-year is Brian Kavanaugh because of his Heinkel Tourist. Though I'd probably recognise 2SB Bryan or scooterdave. and I'd know Rover Eric I think...

Another 2006 Pink Buddy? Sweet! White seat? Can't miss mine because it says "Bonegirl" on the front. You gotta' say "Hi".

Eric will be the one with the least amount of clothes on...don't ask!

Anyway. 5 days and counting!

black seat, grips, and floormats. We'll look for you!

As for Eric, I should have said "I think I'd recognize Rover Eric with his clothes on.

this sounds lame, but I wish there were name tags with a city or something. I am sure there are many reasons not to have them (ie to protect the naked and other ner'do wells), but I too am terrible with names. Oh well, looking really forward to this!

out of curiosity, when and where does scooter dave generally get naked? I am a bit of an early bird, but I might not want to miss this.

 OMG! That is way too funny!

As far as nametags, I made a nametag and earrings with laminating paper and a scooter picture Lagerhead drew. I always wear them at Rallys and it is hilarious!
Image

As far as Scooter Dave, there's no telling when the mood will strike him to take off his clothes, as in this picture at BW-3 wing house. Sometimes we are blessed by his upper torso. But more often than not, he is always willing to share his Boxers-Du-Jour. I will have to find one of those pictures to post...on second thought, some things are better left for the imagination. :wha:

I do believe this calls for a Group Grope of Buddy's!

Maybe we can get all the Buddys together for a big shot (and all the pink Buddys together for a small shot to send to ScootPink.com. Crystal would like that!

Never can tell. Just when the mood strikes.

Rally weekend is about to start. One of my partners is covering for me this morning so I can blow off work & take one of the Suburbans down to the airport to pick up a group of Vulcans that are flying in today.

If you are not coming to 'KRP this weekend, you are about to miss one of the best rallys of the year. There are over 300 pre-registered.

If anyone on MB shows up, I will let you buy me a beer and take a picture with me without pants.

So, Rally weekend begins... Giddyup

If I remember correcly both of you owe me a beer anyway for something. I think Ben owes me a beer for me letting him help me plug the rear tire on LX150 and I know Lobsterman owes me a beer if for nothing else than not yet calling me this year to take me out to lunch.

we had a great time! thanks to evereyone involved-this must have taken massive coordination. I loved all the venues we visted.

I was happy to meet Bonegirl-I kept seeing her scooter and not her...finally we met at the C&D. Her Buddy has over 27,000 miles on it now. I am guessing the black buddy was lagerhead?
I rode near / behind Lobsterman for a while, but it was too noisy to try and say hi at the unplanned gas station stop.

I also spoke with scooterdave but did not realize until seeing the pics on the other thread. He is more svelte than his avatar, and polite too.

There were Buddies everyhere, and from several states even-Iowa, Indiana, Michigan etc

I also saw a member of SPAZ (w/patch), but didnt get a chance to say hi.

Saw the new white Buddy at Metro Scooter (great shop BTW). It looks sharp-as does the Symba/cub thing.
