Installing Prima Exhaust, can I do it myself

Installing Prima Exhaust, can I do it myself
Hey all of you there in scooter land I am wondering if I could install the Prima exhaust myself or is it something that I should take her to the shop for. Are there directions somewhere on here how to do that. Thanks!

Exhaust installation is not too big of a deal.
The biggest tip I got when I installed my sito+ was to let the air out of the rear tire to make it easier to remove the exhaust bolt.
Also, if your current exhaust is stock, you'll need to upjet.
In fact the consensus is even if you left your Stella stock, it should be upjetted anyway. Apparently they're coming from the factory pretty lean.

they come lean because in India fuel economy is paramount, and they dont ride them like we do ... we are hard on ours over here in the US always riding at the maximum design speeds
Yes, you can change it yourself, mechanically its simple to take the exhaust off, just one bolt at the cylinder for the clamp, and one bolt at the swing arm on the spare tire side. The more touchy part is the jetting of the carb to compensate. I dont have a Stella, so I dont know what the recommended jetting it...hopefully someone else can chime in. Its easy to change the jet when you know which one to use.

I've had both on my Stella (not at the same time!)
The Prima exhaust for the Stella is actually a pretty decent JL knockoff. It's one of the few Prima-branded items I'd even consider buying.
Regarding the original post, yes it's fairly easy to do. It may help to have an extra set of hands.
