My Buddy is BAAAAAACK!

Post by LisaLisa »

Oh, my. Finally, all the gremlins have been exorcised.
New Head. New valves and springs. New wires to CDI. New CDI (yes, we found a gremlin there, too!)

So now, the thing feels like it's about to pop wheelies.
Since the troubles began, I had
1. Gotten a new back tire
2. Put in 11g sliders
3. Lost 5 pounds
4. Ridden other bikes.

1-3 were not detectable on my bike because there was limited compression. As far as #4 goes, I am amazed at the power of my little buddy compared to the other bikes I rode (including a people 150).

I am going to have to go easy on the thing until the valves seat, and will have a valve adjustment after 500 miles (next week? :P)
But so far, dayyum!

And now, back on a scooter, my life becomes more pleasant- not having to drag the car out, I can get around town so much easier, parking becomes a joy...

I am so happy now. :D

Congrats! Go tear 'em up.

Make sure that gremlin bell is working to keep any new ones from doing anything else!

Cheers,

Congrats! I'm very happy it all worked out to your satisfaction. I know it was a difficult and long process but I hope the joy of being back on a Buddy makes up for some of the frustration and inconvenience. :)

I can't remember any frustration or inconvenience. :D

Into the wind and mildly uphill I was hitting 60 indicated. It will be a little while before the valves seat themselves in- and then it should be even better. :D
