The ultimate most fun scooter / motorcycle thingey ever

Post by siobhan »

Why did I wait so long to get one of these? Me and my new Honda CT90 doing the ATGATT thing on my street. This thing is soooo much fun; I can't wait to get on the dirt!

The bike is nice, but the front porch behind you is SWEET!

NICE! I have been wanting one of those FOREVER!!! Please let me know how it works off road, that's
the only reason I haven't gotten one yet, I wasn't sure how the suspension would handle trail riding.

You know, Syd, I live in a historic district in what used to be the middle-class part of town back in the 1880s...it's seen better days from the 1950's onward. My house is the worst on the block (once it gets painted, it'll be the prettiest, but I keep spending paint money on bikes :) ) and the only house built for a single woman in 1885. Pretty cool history it has.

The house in the background is the only absentee landlord on the block and I absolutely hate her. The second day after we moved in, she backed her crappy Saab into my '80 Volvo wagon, got out of the car, sauntered over to me as she had been drinking, and said to me, "well, it did more damage to my car than yours", got back in the car and drove away. I was too stunned to do anything more than pull a deer-in-the-headlights reaction.

Will do, but probably not 'til next spring. From what I've read, the suspension is not so good, and it really should be used more for trail riding than serious off-road. I'm in little Rhode Island where the highest point is 800' above sea level, so I suspect it'll be perfect here on a calm, level fire break trails. I'm also thinking I may make it my winter bike. You can get official Australian Postal Service tires for it, too! How cool is that?

It's all relative. For the big ones, each step is like a quarter mile!

They are great little bikes to ride. We used to have a few at the transport depot of one of the larger Navy bases I was at many years ago for just general wizzing around the base on. As you said great fun 8)

Hey Tony...they are great little bikes! Since I first posted this, my little red terror has been updated with proper registration, and brand new Australian Post Office tires and a front rack (thanks Santa!). It's a hoot and a half to ride to work.

I'd love to try the Postie Bike Challenge some day where they ride old posties for 10 days across the outback. Ahhh for lack of money...
