Front brake calipers replaced under warranty, fluid leaked out the seals over the first winter; less than a year old – down 1 week awaiting parts – all OK since then, and now.

Not exactly BUDDY warranty, but I'm on my third Prima pipe under warranty. They've been fantastic about replacing them quickly, and are even trying to redesign them now.

Had no significant problems in the first two years of Buddy ownership. Had nothing done under warranty. Have still not had any significant problems with the Bud.

2-1/2 years, 6400+ miles. I've done all my own maintenance and haven't even had it into the shop. :o

The few light repairs have been great, as has been everything else with my local dealer (Vespa Portland). BUT I have been waiting for a new warranty rear-view mirror to come in for about (or more than) a month...

1. Old style rear chrome rack failed....replaced at no charge with new style.
2. Rear tire valve failed.... roadside assistance and repaired at no charge to me. The nearest dealer did not have the proper valve in stock but sent an employee to get it on his way home. Buddy was ready within 24 hours after being picked up by roadside assistance.

My Buddy runs like a champ, I am totally confident that it will take me anywhere I wish to go without any problems. I do all of my own maintainance at the recomended frequency.

Last Fall I had a voltage regulator fail.
It burned out the original and also a SilverStar headlight bulb.
When the dealer found out it was covered, he happily said "Bring it in!"
It took about 6 weeks to fix. :(

Almost 6,000 miles later it purrrrrs like a kitten.

Battery at about 8 months. I suspect it might have been my fault but the dealer said he would replace with an upgrade because they lasted and it didn't cost him but a couple of bucks. Better than repeat original warranty and a po'd customer.

I guess.

I went to look at buddys yesterday, still gotta choose which one I am gonna get.

But

From what I have been seeing in the forums, it seems that most warranty issues, when they happen, are at the dealer / mechanic level. Even though I have not experienced it first hand, I am impressed by Genuine's initiative in fulfilling their end of the warranty.

Heck It was hard to get Nissan to even look at my $40k car. So take that for what you will. :D

3+ years no major problems.

Had to replace old style rear rack and battery.

No warranty work and has never left me stranded.

Since I'm the second owner of mine, it had no warentee although there was only 65 miles on the odo when I picked it up. 4500 miles since April later I haven't had a single issue that I couldn't figure out myself!

About...hmm...6000 miles ago (?) I had an issue with the scooter acting like it was going into idle at top speed. Never have figured out a good way to explain what it was doing, but anyway: fixed under warranty. Took the mechanic a couple tries to figure out where the issue was, but all under warranty. :) That was and has been my only issue. My mileage is somewhere in the 9000's right now.

Engine rebuild at 1800 miles. Oil issue.

Rear rack crosspiece broke on both sides. Dealer replaced it.
